Felicity first became interested in pelvic floor disorders as a medical student when she studied Urogynaecology as an elective. However, it was during her general Obstetrics and Gynaecology training that Felicity developed a real passion for Urogynaecology and pelvic floor disorders. Well before commencing sub-specialist training, Felicity undertook research with the Department of Urogynaecology and also worked assisting senior Urogynaecologists Dr Marcus Carey and Dr Salwan Al-Salihi in their private practices. Felicity has been motived by the significant challenges urogynaecology and pelvic floor conditions pose to women, is still humbled by the experience of being able to improve quality of life for women by treating pelvic floor disorders..
Following the completion of her core training in obstetrics and gynaecology, Felicity commenced sub-specialist training in Urogynaecology in February 2014 at the Royal Women's Melbourne. During her sub-specialist training Felicity was the recipient of the RANZCOG foundation 'Brown Craig Travelling Fellowship'. This award, facilitated 6 months of training with the Department of Urogynaecology in Cambridge UK in 2016 under the tutelage of Mr Mark Slack. The invaluable experience in Cambridge has allowed Felicity to develop an ongoing connection with the team there. The teams in Melbourne and Cambridge are now actively involved in collaborative pelvic floor research together.
Currently, Felicity consults at Frances Perry House Parkville. She operates privately at Frances Perry House and at Epworth Freemasons East Melbourne. Felicity also sees patients in St Kilda East, where she collaborates with Dr Alice Rudd - Dermatologist and founder of SkinDepth. This unique collaboration provides expert care to women with vulval disorders. Felicity also sees general gynaecology and urogynaecology patients in St Kilda East.
In addition to her private practice, Felicity has a public appointment with the Department of Urogynaecology at the Royal Women's Hospital.
